Quil Ceda Leather is a classic American success story. Our business got started in 1932 as Jansha Tanning Co., founded by Austrian immigrant Mathias Jansha, who brought his skills as a leather tanner to Washington State. Over the years, the leather tanning side of the business phased out as we grew into a successful leather clothing, wholesale, and retail store. We have operated at the same shop in Marysville, WA, for over 60 years, and look forward to seeing you soon!
New name, new beginning
In 1981, a group of the most experienced staff of Jansha Tanning Co. assumed ownership of the business and changed the name to Quil Ceda Leather.
In 2017, Lacey Coragiulo formally took over ownership of the company, as she had been running it for almost 15 years prior, and moved it to our current location of 1355 State Ave, downtown Marysville, Washington. The name was then changed to the current, Quil Ceda Leather after Quil Ceda Creek, that runs just West of our store in Washington.
Today we are a proud female owned and operated business. We are very much a family run operation, and you’ll often see our children here running around, greeting customers and helping where they can.
We’ve made a name for ourselves by carrying hand-picked lines of leather products, such as Cloud 9 sheepskin slippers, Osgoode Marley leather wallets, and beautiful deerskin gloves made in-house.
We also specialize in repair and alteration work, custom leather work and embroidery. We produce a range of custom items including belts, horse riding and motorcycle chaps, motorcycle accessories, and more. As leatherwork experts, our products and services are high in demand amongst the motorcycle community. Our embroidery experts can take your existing logos and images and turn them into patches or embroider them onto garments or hats.
